Awarded Contract by United States Agency for International
Development (USAID)
Washington, DC, May 4, 2009 –
Logistics Systems Incorporated (LSI) announced that it has
been awarded a contract to provide logistic support services
to the United States Agency for International Development
(USAID). Under this contract, LSI will be supporting the Office
of Civilian Response (OCR) within the Bureau of Democracy,
Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance in the establishment
and operation of a Civilian Deployment Center (CDC) capable
of processing, equipping and deploying large numbers of interagency
CRC personnel to overseas reconstruction and stabilization
(R&S) operations.
The Office of Civilian Response acts as USAID’s focal
point for activities and missions pertaining to the interagency
Civilian Response Corps (CRC) initiative. LSI logistics personnel
will provide a broad range of logistics services to the CDC,
including providing inputs to the concept of operations and
providing information technology, training, and inventory
management services once the CDC is operational.
