Logistics Systems Incorporated Awarded
Knowledge Management Contract by Headquarters Air Force.
LSI supports Headquarters Air Force in their
goal of upgrading disparate legacy and emergent unstructured
data by engineering a functional knowledge management system.
Washington, DC, December 17, 2008
-- Logistics Systems Incorporated (LSI) announced today that
it has been awarded its first US Air Force contract.
The contract requires LSI to provide information technology
(IT) services to the Headquarters Air Force (HAF) Studies
& Analyses, Assessments and Lessons Learned Division (AF/A9).
LSI IT professionals will perform an initial analysis of the
Air Force’s requirements and existent IT resources,
and then develop a baseline knowledge management system using
Microsoft Office SharePoint (MOSS).
Full scale development will be performed subsequent to the
baseline’s acceptance by the Air Force. Henry Jennings,
LSI’s Vice President for Business Development, said,
“We appreciate the confidence the Air Force has placed
in LSI to develop their knowledge management system. We look
forward to working with Air Force functional and technical
managers to deliver this state-of-the-art knowledge management
system.”
