Our Project Management
Professional Education Series
Project Management Mastery Course
– This three-day best-practices course targets beginners,
novices and experienced project managers. Through this course,
participants can master industry best management practices,
techniques for defining, organizing, planning, tracking and
managing complex projects. The concepts and processes presented
are reinforced through rigorous demonstrations, structured
exercises, and group laboratories designed to further reinforce
the learning process.
This course will provide students practice in developing a
work breakdown structure (WBS), estimating, building a logical
network diagram and risk management planning. The course
objective is to ensure that by the end of the third day,
participants will have gained hands-on experience in producing
the details of a comprehensive project plan for implementation
of the project.
Integrated Program Management Course
– This one day course is designed to provide participants a
comprehensive case study. Participants will practice
industry-leading techniques for planning and managing an
integrated program. Using a well-researched process model,
participants will be required to maneuver through the complex
details of managing integrated programs and their multi-project
dimensions. Emphasis is placed on techniques for effective
cross-functional program integration.
Process Definition and Measurement
Course – This three-day course is a must for people
beginning process redesign and business process re-engineering
and improvement activities. Many corporations launch significant
cost savings initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving
efficiency, eliminating waste and improving process quality.
These initiatives, however, often fall short of expectations in
part due to a misunderstanding of how current work flow
processes are designed, manipulated and their direct correlation
of associated performance levels variable. This course prepares
process engineers and other business professionals to correctly
assess and document existing business processes. Further, this
course prepares participants to implement measurement indicators
and systems to track and manage process behavior.
Quality Improvement and Six-Sigma –
This course picks up where the Process Definition and
Measurement Course leaves off. Once a process is mapped and
appropriate measures indicate the process is under statistical
process control, Quality Improvement and Six-Sigma presents a
process model for identifying and implementing improvement
opportunities. This course presents a seven-step approach for
improving process performance based on six-sigma techniques.
Quality tools such as check-sheets, line graphs charts, control
charts, Pareto charts, fishbone diagrams, scatter diagrams, and
histograms are introduced and practiced. A case study provides
participants the opportunity to master each tool as applied to a
real-world process improvement scenario to continue to build
upon the best management practices for efficiency.
Again, Logistics Systems, Inc. believes that effective analysis
and proper management can improve your operations dramatically.
Further, each course can be modified to a degree to accommodate
the client’s specific needs.
