Logistics Acquisition Management Support Services

LSI can provide qualified staff to perform acquisition support services that include all aspects of the acquisition process from pre-procurement planning through solicitation, award, administration and closeout.  These services shall be in the form of recommendations and support to the Contracting Officer, and shall include, for example, the functions delineated below:

Drafting contractual documents and preparing supporting documentation (e.g. Determinations and Findings)

Support to the Contracting Officer during negotiations and discussions

Performing cost and/or price analysis

Monitoring contractor compliance with the contract terms and conditions

Providing recommendations for the resolution of contract problems

Evaluating contractor proposed contract changes

Coordinating between the COTR and the contractor

 However, certain acquisition functions are inherently governmental in nature and require execution by warranted Government Contracting Officers and LSI must be excluded from these requirements. Such functions include approving and signing contracts, modifications, and the documents that support those actions such as negotiation memoranda, determinations and findings, as well as the approval of payment vouchers.  All tasks of this nature must be reviewed and approved by a government warranted Contracting Officer.
